The Rev. Todd McDowell, Rector at Grace Church in Kirkwood, is leading a Lenten pilgrimage to the Holy Land. The trip will take members from throughout the Diocese of Missouri to some of the most sacred sites of our Christian history. Follow their trip in pictures on the Diocesan website.

Updating COVID-19 Guidelines


New safety guidelines from Bishop Deon Johnson and the Diocesan Pandemic Task Force are now in effect throughout the Diocese of Missouri.


These guidelines include information about wearing masks, singing in the choir, and distributing communion. This new document also provides recommended online resources to check your community's pandemic numbers.

Free Face Masks Now Available to Churches


Missouri Jobs with Justice has graciously donated 2,400 medical masks to the Diocese to distribute to our churches.


If you would like to get a supply for your parish, please contact Jillian Smith or Tracy Grigsby in the Diocesan office to arrange a pick-up (for those in the St. Louis area) or arrange a shipment (for those outside the metro area).

Apply Now for CAEF Grant


Congregations needing financial assistance for capital improvement projects and/or repairs can now apply for a diocesan grant of up to $10,000 through the Church Assistance Endowment Fund.


Application deadline is April 13.

We celebrate all the parishes who have completed or are in the process of completing their annual parochial reports.


Every parish is required to complete this report, which was due March 1. We still have not heard from NINE parishes!

Celebrating 20 Years of Called to Common Mission

The Dioceses of Missouri, West Missouri and Kansas are coming together with the Central States Synod ELCA for a special hybrid event to celebrate 20 years of our Common Mission. Clergy and lay members are invited to engage in an afternoon of special presentations to mark this Episcopal and Lutheran collaboration.

Requiem or Renaissance

Requiem or Renaissance is an 18-month discernment and skills-building program for all congregations currently receiving diocesan financial aid.


The group of 18 congregations is divided into two cohorts. Registration is now open for the first meeting of cohort 1. One person from each congregation should complete the registration for their team.
