Green Schools Challenge
Youth Eco-Summit

Next month is Earth Month! To celebrate DIG will be hosting our annual Youth Eco-Summit on April 2, 2022 at A.D. Barnes Park. We are inviting high school students to join us in celebrating the environment and their green initiatives and projects with like-minded students. Students can have a table presentation, show off an art piece or perform a song or dance. See photos from our last in-person Summit here.

Awards Ceremony

Save the date! DIG will be hosting its annual Awards Ceremony on the evening of Thursday, May 22, 2022.

We are excited to be back in person to celebrate 15 years of the Green Schools Challenge while also awarding our top performing schools.

Location and registration to follow.
City Nature Challenge
The City Nature Challenge has become an international event, motivating people around the world to find and document wildlife in their cities. It’s a bioblitz-style competition where cities are in a contest against each other to see who can make the most observations of nature, who can find the most species, and who can engage the most people.

Green Business: Your Purchasing Power
You have the privilege to be able to make the decision of where to shop, just do what you can. And most importantly know that you can. If we all decided to implement an alternative just for one day, imagine the difference that we could make.
DIG Team - Environmental Leaders
My name is Mitha Matilus, and I am currently a freshman at Florida International University. My major is Biology and I join DIG to become more aware of the environmental challenge that our world is facing. I want to be educated on the climate issues that are happening whether it is local or global and I want to promote solutions to mend minor problems that we are currently facing.

Mitha joins Dream in Green through the Tropical Conservation Internship Program which connects undergraduate students with local organizations working on conservation and environmental programs.
