Hanukkah
Hanukkah or Chanukah is a Jewish holiday spanning eight days that commemorates the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem. During Hanukkah, Jewish families gather to light the menorah and enjoy traditional foods, games, and gifts. The holiday starts on the 25th of Kislev on the Hebrew calendar, usually falling in November or December. This year, Hanukkah will begin the evening of December 7 and end on December 15.

"BEAR"ing the Holidays Together
The holidays are usually spent with family and friends; however, navigating classes, studying, and busy work schedules can make spending time with loved ones challenging. This December, the Faculty & Staff Wellness Committee would like to coordinate opportunities to gather with students and colleagues throughout the holiday season. If you would like to share your time with someone who can’t be with their loved ones during the holidays, please click on the link and complete the form specifying the date, event/activity, and number of students/colleagues you’d like to be paired with. The form responses will not be publicly displayed. Kim Meeks and Sandra Bourdon will pair hosts and guests. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact Kim Meeks at meeks_k@mercer.edu or 478-301-2519.
