Join us for Christmas Eve
Christmas is a time to celebrate. It is a time to praise joyously as we give thanks to the Lord for the most amazing gift He has ever given to us -- the light of the world, His one and only son, Jesus.

This Christmas, we invite you to join us as we celebrate and worship the birth of our Savior. We will gather together at 1:30, 3:00, 4:30, and 6:00 PM on Christmas Eve for a traditional candlelight service with communion.

The Nativity Petting Zoo will also be available in the Youth Center from 2:30 to 6:00 PM.
Invite someone to Christmas Eve!
Feel free to download our digital invite and text a friend, relative, neighbor, or co-worker today and ask them to join you for one of our Christmas Eve services!

NOTE: There will be no morning services on Christmas Eve. Please join us for worship and communion at 1:30, 3:00, 4:30, or 6:00 PM on December 24. For more information, please visit our website.
Women's Bible Study: New Testament Women
Knowing about Jesus isn’t what changes us. It is our relationship with Him that transforms us.

Beginning January 16, the Women’s Ministry will look at six well-known women in the New Testament whose lives were transformed by Jesus: Mary Magdalene; the woman at the well; Mary (the mother of Jesus); Martha; Mary of Bethany; and the bent woman. Join us as we explore how their relationship with Jesus changed their lives deeply and profoundly. We will be studying their experiences to help us draw closer to our Savior as we gain insight from God’s Word.
This six-week study, New Testament Women: Transformed by Jesus, will meet every Tuesday at 7:00 PM (January 16), Thursday at 9:30 AM (January 18), and Thursday at 7:00 PM (Zoom). There is no cost for this study, and registration has begun!

NOTE: Childcare will only be available for the Thursday morning (9:30 AM) study, and advanced registration is required. If you require childcare, please contact Angie Bilbrey directly via text (614-499-4281) or email.
Bibles Needed
We are collecting 15,000 Bibles for the Bibles for Africa Project with the South African Christian Mission (SACM) and Hearts of Hope Christian Ministries (HOH).

If you would like to donate a new or gently used Bible, a black bin will be available in the Atrium for English-language Bibles. (NIV, ESV, HCSB, and NLT translations preferred.) These Bibles will be shipped to Cape Town for free distribution throughout South Africa, Kenya, and southern Africa.

Please donate a new or gently used English or French-language Bible this Sunday!
As you're watching the video you might recognize Heather Burton. She is a former Worthington Christian Church member who is continuing to do the Lord's work in South Africa!

  • Mailed donations must be postmarked no later than Saturday, Dec. 30.

  • Hand-delivered donations must be in the office no later than 4:00 PM on Friday, Dec. 29.

Preschool Fun Day!
The Kids Ministry invites all of our preschool-age friends and their caregivers to join us for a Preschool Fun Day on Monday, January 15 (MLK day) from 9:00 to 11:00 AM!

We will have an inflatable bounce house and slide for the kids, along with other large gross motor items to have tons of fun during these cold and dreary times. Preschool friends, feel free to bring your trikes and scooters as well! We will gather in the Family Life Center and donuts and juice boxes will be provided.

Questions? Please contact Cindy Baker.
Operation Christmas Child
Although the deadline for turning in filled shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child has passed, you can still pack a shoebox online!

The Operation Christmas Child website makes it quick, easy, and secure, so we invite you to explore this option. The cost is $25/per box, and you can absolutely customize it! (Or allow the folks at Samaritan’s Purse to build it for you.)

Please consider building a shoebox online! The deadline to make a shoebox online is Tuesday, December 26.
DivorceCare
DivorceCare is a group of friendly, caring people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. DivorceCare offers valuable resources to help you deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life.

You don’t have to go through it alone.

Our next session of DivorceCare will meet every Wednesday, Jan. 17 to Apr. 17, from 6:45-8:30 PM. Feel free to email the DivorceCare Ministry Leader, Mileah Hamulak, if you have any questions.
Worthington Resource Pantry
We want to follow Jesus together and part of that is being a good neighbor. How can we accomplish that? By doing what we can to meet the needs of a neighbor in crisis. Therefore, we will continue to support the Worthington Resource Pantry for the foreseeable future.

CURRENT NEEDS:
  • Pasta (1lb. boxes)
  • Peanut Butter
  • Soup
  • Oatmeal
  • Body Wash
You may drop off your donations at any time. A blue donation bin will be available at each of the entrances to the church and we regularly empty the bins to make room for additional items. If you have any questions, please contact Patti Remaklus.
REACH: Phase 1
The Kids and Youth areas are almost done!!

We're in the home stretch for Phase 1. Crews are working hard to get the lighting and A/V set up in the newly renovated Youth Center, carpeting has been installed, paint is being touched up and edging installation will soon follow. Next week we have final inspections, then clean-up.

This means that everything should be ready by Christmas Eve! Of course, the slide and decals will be installed in the Kids Wing in January, then we will have an Open House Celebration to mark the completion of Phase 1!
Progress photos have been posted every Wednesday on our social media pages (Facebook, X/Twitter, and Instagram), so please be sure to stop by and like and subscribe. We will also make updates to our REACH Initiative website as needed.

As always, we appreciate your patience, prayers, and support during this phase of the REACH Initiative!
