The FALL TOUR WRAP-UP
A Glimpse of Heaven's Glory
"After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, 'Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!'"
-Revelation 7:9-10
One day, we will witness this scene together, with the followers of Christ in our time, those from the beginning of the church, and before our heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
On September 1, nine of us arrived in Washington, D.C., for a 55-day tour – from Tampa, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and Mexico – National Directors from different languages, tribes, and cultures.

By the time you read this, we will have traveled 7,500 miles in about 200 hours of driving in Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Georgia.

Amanda Boston (Dir. Ministry Relations) and I (ok, mostly Amanda) scheduled 50 events, including 26 churches, in 55 days. This has been an amazing tour. Besides visiting churches and sharing in services, we attended lunches and dinners with ministry investors, a banquet, training at Good Soil (ABWE), a CCI graduation with the Cambodian Baptist Church in Philadelphia, and gatherings with many friends of the ministry.
We have prayed along the way, rejoicing in what we have seen the Lord do. We have prayed with people in restaurants and a gas station. We have laughed and rejoiced together. We visited a 1,000-head of cow dairy farm, a stone-cutting business, and a lumber yard, all in upstate NY. We played putt-putt golf in Ocean City, MD. The champion, by the way, was our beloved director from India, Vijay Kumar. The Lord kept us safe in the van, and each one of us was healthy for the entire tour.
This is a trip to remember. In many ways, we didn’t want it to end, but our bodies needed rest, and we needed to return home to our families. We’ve experienced the presence and blessing of God among many of God’s precious saints. This has been just an appetizer of the fellowship we will have in God’s presence in His eternal city.

Not only have we experienced a wonderful time with churches and supporters, but also with each other. We have stayed in homes and hotels together, prayed together, discussed ministry, learned from one another, and challenged one another. The comradery with one another has been incredibly wonderful – all that God desires of His servants to work together for His glory.

Until that day in His presence, there’s much work to do – as He has called us to make disciples of all people groups. There are translation projects, the printing of training manuals, equipping of trainers, and the discipling of servant leaders – so that all will hear the Good News of Jesus Christ, trust in Him, and worship our heavenly Father!
Here are a few testimonies from the tour:

Frids Lumba
National Director Indonesia
“This tour has helped me evaluate our ministry in Indonesia. This surprised me at what God has done there during the last four years, as the ministry grew from 1 class to 31 classes. This has given me the opportunity to show our supporters the results of their support and praise God together for what He did. This was a difficult thing for us to do to relocate to central Indonesia, and then COVID hit. This made me realize how the power of God’s people praying for me encouraged me during these difficult times.”

Keith Arnold
North Mexico Area Coordinator
“God has continued to show up and show off through His people by their generous gifts and partnerships that have provided for this tour, for the furtherance of His kingdom.”

Pastor Brad Diehl
Berlin First Baptist Church
Berlin, MD
“We at Berlin First Baptist Church were beyond blessed by the CCI Fall Tour. We praise God for how He is using the ministry of CCI around the world, and it was such an encouragement for us to hear from the National Directors. We look forward to seeing how the Lord will continue to equip faithful leaders around the globe for effective ministry.”

Pastor Quintin Merson
CrossLife Bible Church
Westminster, MD
"Dave, thanks for making CrossLife Bible Church one of your fall tour ministries stops. We were so blessed to hear how God is working through CCI and the faithfulness of the National Directors. I know of no other ministry that is intentionally making disciples that turn out to be pastors and church leaders. Hearing what God is doing around the world has greatly encouraged my CrossLife Bible Institute students and me as we continue through the BTCP courses. Thank you for all you are doing to exalt our Father, while edifying, equipping, and expanding the Church."

Christel Axtell
Ministry Supporter
Deposit, NY
"We were so very grateful for Dave Nelson and the national pastors being able to spend time with us at our church and in our community. We have supported David and Mindy since day one of their mission work. We have enjoyed watching their ministry flourish and become what it is today, reaching so many people with the life-changing message of the gospel of Jesus and teaching and training national pastors, so they are better equipped to use God‘s Word in a more effective way within their various ministries.

What a joy it was for us to be able to show them some of our natural resources at Double Axe Stone Company, Bass and Sons Lumber, and Ripley Farms.

Having a small part in this effective ministry has been a beautiful and timely investment, and one that we will certainly see the eternal value."
