Summer Recreation Classes & Camps
Registration Opens May 10!

Are you ready to meet new friends, develop new skills, or try a new activity?
We are excited to once again offer indoor classes, like yoga, dance, gymnastics, art, and music.
Summer classes and camps begin in June.
|
Online pre-registration and waiver acceptance is required for all camps and classes.
|
|
|
CampVenture day camp operates Monday-Friday and is filled with FUN and adventure for children ages 6-12 years old.
This day camp is offered at two convenient locations, Center Greens Park which is adjacent to the Downtown Anaheim Youth Center and Peralta Park. Participants should bring a lunch, snack, refillable water bottle, sunscreen and face mask daily.
Camps are filling up fast, we encourage you to register to secure your spot at CampVenture!

Beyond CampVenture Hours:
7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Calling all young explorers and nature lovers! Joins us at our Summer Day Camp for some outdoor summer fun. Each week, campers ages 6-12 years old will have the opportunity to experience themed art, nature, Native American traditions, games, and more. Participants will gain new friends an appreciation for the natural world.

Tiny Tots Academy prepares children 3 to 5 years old for kindergarten by encouraging self-confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
Our mission is to prepare participants for kindergarten by encouraging self-confidence and assisting in their social and intellectual development.
Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Young Artist Showcase
Presents Ball Junior High School

May's Young Artist Showcase features the work of artists from Ball Junior High School. Students Christopher Lopez, Helen Perez, Korissa Salazar, Sophia Carranza, and Stefani King will be featured on both Instagram and Facebook as well as the Center Gallery website.
We thank Ms. Emilia Leon and the administrative staff at Ball Junior High School for submitting these talented students for the inaugural Young Artist Showcase of 2021.

This virtual art show will feature the creative works of Anaheim residents or students in grades 7-12. If you are interested in being a part of this year's showcase, applications are accepted on a continuous basis.
|

All applications must be submitted online at the Downtown Anaheim Center Gallery website. Applications must be submitted by a school art teacher or school administrator. Student submissions will not be accepted without the teacher application.

Summer 2021 VolunTEEN Program

Serve your community, be a role model, meet new friends, have fun, and earn service hours! Apply for the Summer VolunTEEN Program.
Teens ages 13 to 17 years old can volunteer for various programs such as O.A.K.S. Summer Day Camp, CampVenture, Cultural Arts Programs, Marketing, Family Resource Centers, and the Anaheim Public Library.

Summer Swim Classes

Weekend lessons going on now at Pearson Park Pool.
Beat the heat and register for one of our swim classes today. Weekday and weekend sessions are available for all ages and skill levels.
Weekday lessons begin June 7.
Pre-registration is required.
With the help of Anaheim Family YMCA, we have modified all swim lessons to ensure they follow all state guidelines and public health best practices.

Adult Lap Swim & Water Exercise Classes

Lap Swim: Adults ages 16 and older can swim laps for exercise. Lifeguards will be available on site for additional support and safety.
Saturdays and Sundays
8:45 a.m. to 9:20 a.m.
Water Exercise: Instructors will lead participants through water aerobics, core strength training movements, and more.

Multiple prepared frozen meals are available once a week for Seniors age 60 and older. There are no income requirements or restrictions. The purpose of this program is to support seniors by helping keep their exposure to the public at a minimum.
Frozen meals are available for contactless delivery to seniors who are homebound. Meals are available until supplies are exhausted.
