2021-2023 Strategic Plan

For over 90 years, United Way Manitowoc County has delivered on our mission. To continue this legacy, we recently developed a three year strategic plan that will meet the relevant needs of Manitowoc County while furthering our mission and vision. Volunteer Connection Center Lunch & Learn

Join the United Way Manitowoc County team and an array of local nonprofit organizations during your lunch hour on Tuesday, January 26 to learn how you can get involved in the community this year! We’ll be sharing how you can utilize our Volunteer Connection Center the volunteering hub for Manitowoc County to search for and sign up for volunteer opportunities at an array of nonprofit organizations. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn more about different nonprofits and how you can get involved in their work.

This lunch & learn will be held virtually via Zoom. We will also be live streaming on Facebook.
Coming Soon - 21 Week Equity Challenge

In partnership with our state association, United Way of Wisconsin, a 21 Week Equity Challenge is launching in Wisconsin. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of how inequity and racism affect our lives and communities.

Beginning next week, you’ll be able to sign up to receive a weekly email from Monday, February 1st to Monday, June 21st. The weekly topics will take you through a journey that starts with understanding internalized racism and explores how race permeates person-to-person interactions, institutions and social structures.

Visit our Facebook page for more information next week!
Join our Volunteer Manager Meetings

Do you manage volunteers at a nonprofit, school, church or other organization? If so, we would love for you to join our quarterly volunteer manager meetings! These meetings are a great opportunity to share ideas, learn from other volunteer coordinators in Manitowoc County, and learn more about how United Way’s Volunteer Connection Center – a virtual hub for volunteerism – can help build your organization’s capacity.

Our next meeting is Tuesday, January 19 at 11:00 am via Zoom. If you’re interested in joining the group, email Courtney Hansen at courtney@unitedwaymanitowoccounty.org.
