Men's Health Month Hike @ Pine Mountain
This is a 4.6-mile loop trail near Cartersville, Georgia. Generally considered a moderately challenging route. It is a popular trail for hiking. You will get a great workout and take in stunning views of Allatoona Lake from the summit of Pine Mountain.
The Pine Mountain Trail winds and climbs its way to awesome summit views, along massive granite outcrops and serene forest. Hike over wooden bridges, across sparkling streams, past misty waterfalls & rock outcroppings, varied forest, scenic overlooks, and maybe leaping deer. This local gem is tucked away near Cartersville.
As always, wear comfortable (not new) sturdy shoes and layered clothing. Bring plenty of water, snacks and your lunch. Please eat a healthy breakfast to help sustain your energy. Remember ... we carpool and each rider is asked to donate at least $5-$7 toward gas. Parking is $5. It will take approximately 45 minutes to 1-hour to reach the traihead.
