Special Announcement!

MainStreet USA is a national program that demonstrates the critical role that a thriving downtown plays in securing a strong local economy for cities across the country. Leadville became part of the MainStreet program through DOLA in 2015 and excitement about the benefits has steadily grown. We are excited to announce the move of the Leadville MainStreet Program back to the LLCEDC. We thank our City and State partners that helped make this possible.

We are pleased to announce that Nancy Bailey will serve as MainStreet Director, continuing to work out of the Leadville Lake County Economic Development Corporation (LLCEDC) office at 400 Harrison Avenue. Nancy joined the LLCEDC in September 2020 part-time as Project Manager, and will continue her role along with new MainStreet activities. A seasoned professional, Nancy has held a variety of positions in community, economic development and nonprofits. Her areas of expertise include workforce development, fundraising, community outreach, marketing and project management.

"I am honored and grateful to have this opportunity," Nancy commented. "When I came to this area I found that there is an overwhelming sense of pride that residents and businesses have in our community. With the challenges brought by the pandemic, the time feels right to assess the progress made, reaffirm goals for Leadville, and move forward with a fresh look at how we can become even at better securing resources, building partnerships and strengthening relationships." Watch for updates about Leadville Main Street programs and activities!
