We have all been blessed by Bishop Borders' dedication to scholastic achievement and a thorough study and understanding of God's word.

In tribute to him and his dedication, members of Morning Star worked alongside the leadership of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary to establish the

Bishop John M. Borders, III Urban Ministry Scholarship Fund. 

This scholarship has been designed to widen the opportunity to other brothers and sisters to pursue a seminary education in an urban ministry context.
