Kavvanah of the Week
This year we are exploring kavvanot - short orientations or intentions that reflect the part of ourselves that we bring to a particular moment.

Kavvanot can be used for moments and actions of any size and significance.

This week’s kavvanah is actually a blessing - one that is said when we see trees flowering in the month of Nisan.
So please, any time from Sunday morning until May 11 - find a place where you can see more than one tree in flower (there are many to choose from!) and say this once-a-year brachah:
Barukh atta Adonai
eloheinu melekh ha-olam
she-lo hisser b’olamo kloom
u’vara bo
b’riyot tovot
ve-ilanot tovot
le-hanot bahem b’nai adam.
Praised are You Adonai our God
ruler of the world
whose world lacks nothing
and who created in it
beautiful creatures
and beautiful trees
for human beings to enjoy.
Torah Service Prayer
Here is the new prayer we have created for our Torah service. Thank you to Elliot Finkelstein for the idea! Please join in from home.
