DACC Students and Families,
Earlier this week, many of our students participated in two Job Shadow Days. These were valuable days for our students to make connections and get experience in the field. During these two days, our staff conducted professional development in order to continue improving what we do for our students.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in empowering our students to explore their industry and make connections with professionals in their field.

If you have any questions, please reach out to us at 740-548-0708.

Thank you!

2022-2023 District Calendar
At the February 17, 2022 Board of Education meeting the DACC Board of Education approved the 22-23 school year calendar.

We do our best to align our calendar with our associate schools. Please take a moment to review special dates such as professional development and spring break.

Career Portfolio Contest
Would your Senior like a chance to win a $250 cash scholarship? The Career Portfolio Contest is a great way to recognize the culmination of work that students have completed in high school for college and career readiness.

This digital portfolio competition is open to schools in DACC’s career tech planning district (Big Walnut, Buckeye Valley, Delaware City, Olentangy, and Worthington) and students who attend DACC. One winner will be selected from each participating high school to receive a $250 cash scholarship. Please find 2022 Career Portfolio Contest information here. Entry deadline is March 18. Contact Lisa-Marie Reinhart, reinhartL@delawareareacc.org for details.
Senior Photos
Parents and Students: Spring is approaching, but it's not too late to schedule Senior photo sessions with the DACC Photo Studio!
Take advantage of this limited-time opportunity available only to DACC students! If interested, schedule NOW with the link below! Upon scheduling, you'll:
  • Have a 1-hour session with a photographer anywhere on DACC's campus. (Must receive permission from lab instructor for in-lab photos!)
  • Receive digital copies of ALL photographs taken during the session.
  • Additionally, receive your choice of up to 10 digitally edited photos!

The DACC Photo Studio will also be at the Prom! Students will have the opportunity to have professional photos taken while attending the prom for just $20. Each group can have 10-20 pictures taken individually, with a group, or both. Payments for these sessions will be made at the main office the week after prom and then you will receive digital copies of all photos.

If you have any questions, see Mr. Fuller in Digital Design or register for a session here.
Blended Learning Academy (BLA)
Current juniors recently heard a presentation about a new opportunity for taking academic courses at DACC.

BLA is a new approach to DACC academic classes that will be available to qualified, full-day seniors for the 2022-2023 school year.

Here is what a typical week will look like in BLA:
  • Mondays and Wednesdays, students will be required to attend in-person class following a regular schedule.
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, students will complete assignments and activities from home. During these days, students will be able to work at their own pace, but will have virtual access to their teachers during their assigned period time through video conferencing.
  • Fridays will look and feel like Hybrid Fridays with students qualifying to work from home. Students who are struggling or have transportation issues will be able to attend DACC on any of the virtual days, follow their schedule, and receive more 1-on-1 help from their teachers. Students are required to attend lab daily.
