Celebrate Black History Month! This virtual program surveys the life and achievements of, in the words of the editors of Ebony magazine, "one of the most phenomenally gifted Americans." An athlete, actor, singer, lawyer, scholar and activist, Paul Robeson rose to prominence at a time when segregation was legal. Before long, he was an advocate for the civil rights of people around the world. This program will consider the highlights of Paul Robeson's extraordinary life, with time for Q & A.

The Department of Education recently announced an overhaul of the Public SJoin us as the Student Borrower Protection Center presents a webinar on Thursday, February 3, at 7PM EST that will highlight the updates on the program and how to navigate the waiver process. While this is a huge victory for borrowers — made possible by the tireless efforts of an amazing network of advocacy organizations and individual borrowers across the country — a lot of questions remain about how the process will work.
