Did you know?
"Bringing home the bacon" goes back centuries. These days the phrase refers to making money, but its origins have nothing to do with income.  In 12th century England, churches would award a "flitch," or a side, of bacon to married man who swore before God that he and wife had not argued for a year and day. Men who "brought home the bacon" were seen as exemplary citizens and husbands.

Easy Cheesy BBQ Chicken - Aimee Berrett

Boneless chicken tenders

BBQ sauce
 
Bacon (1 slice per piece of chicken)
 
Swiss cheese (1/2 slice per piece of chicken)

1. Place chicken in slow cooker.
2. Cover with BBQ sauce.
3. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 hours.
4. Cook 1 slice of bacon per chicken piece.
5. Place cooked bacon on each piece of chicken and top with 1/2 slice of cheese.
6. Cook on high until cheese melts, about 15 minutes.
 
Note: Actual cooking times may vary from slow cooker to slow cooker.
