Partnership2Gether Coast to Coast and our twinned schools in Etzba Hagalil invite you to join them for The Passover Mifgash on Tuesday, April 5, at 10:00am MDT on Zoom. This free event is hosted by Psagot School Yiron and Halifax Joint Hebrew School.
Our community's Integrated Bursary Program (IBP) is accepting applications until Friday, April 8. If your family requires support to enable participation in The Calgary Jewish Academy, Halpern Akiva Academy, Camp BB Riback, and summer camp and membership at the Paperny Family JCC, our community wants to help. All the schools, programs, and services covered by the bursaries are on one application form, meaning the process is done one time for the entire year – for all family members. To learn more, visit our website. If you have specific questions, please contact us.
The Shalom Hartman Institute invites you to their inaugural Canada-wide event: Shrinking the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict:
Practical & Ethical Dilemmas on Sunday, April 10 from 10:00 to 11:00am MDT. Hear from Hartman fellow and best-selling author Micah Goodman, the thought leader behind the idea of shrinking the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that is currently influencing Israeli policy, about what this concept really means, how the premise has moved from idea to practice, and the ethical dilemmas it raises. Register online for this free, virtual event.
Inclusion powered by Calgary Jewish Federation and the Paperny Family JCC invite you to their DIY Afikoman Bag Bash on Sunday, April 10 from 1:30 to 2:30pm. Make a beautiful sack to hide part of the middle matzah! Learn about Passover, the seder, and its traditions in a creative and crafty atmosphere. This free event is open to everyone and can be attended online or in-person at the JCC. Register online or contact the JCC Customer Service Desk at 403-253-8600, ext.0. For more information email Karina Szulc or call 403-444-3158.
