As we make faithful decisions about our Covenant community, we continue to feel called to protect those in our congregation that are most vulnerable, especially our older members, children, and those who are not fully vaccinated. Current guidelines will remain in place until further notice. Masks (preferably N-95 or KN94) must be worn while attending Worship services or any indoor activity or event.
Going forward, we will continue to use the rolling 7-day average of the overall test positivity rate of 5.5% or less in Mecklenburg County as our guideline in making changes to the current policies for activities including worship, Sunday school, facility usage, recreation wing, food services, and overnight trips.
What this means for you – Current guidelines in place as of January 5 will remain effective until the positivity rate is 5.5% or less. Our task force continues to meet on a regular basis, along with individual members monitoring the change in positivity rate daily.
We continue to be grateful to Covenant members for their prayers and support over the past 22 months. We remain optimistic of the projected “downturn” in the Omicron variant and hopeful we will be back to our “new normal” as spring approaches.
Continued Peace,
