Celebrate Day of the Dead Tonight!

Get ready, Moreno Valley! Our annual Day of the Dead celebration is tonight!


This year’s free and family-friendly event will take place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Civic Amphitheater, located at 14075 Frederick Street. Our Day of the Dead celebration will feature great music from Mariachi Divas and Santana tribute band Savor, exciting ballet folklórico performances, local artists, festive food vendors, a Michelada garden, and beautiful altars commemorating the lives of deceased loved ones.


It will be an event to remember!

Attention, community volunteers! Our latest Beautify MoVal Community Day of Service is Saturday, November 4, from 8 a.m. to noon!


Join your fellow neighbors as we maintain the beauty of Bayside Park in District 1 & Weston Park in District 3.


Beautify MoVal is a great way to give back to your community, meet your neighbors, and spend a beautiful Moreno Valley day outdoors. We'll meet at City Hall at 8 a.m. for coffee, pastries, and fun before setting off to spruce up our parks!

Showcase Your Patriotism at the

Veterans Day Art Contest

Calling all Moreno Valley artists: the deadline to submit your artwork for our first ever Veterans Day Art Contest is this Wednesday, November 1!


The contest theme is “To Those Who Served.” We’re looking for the best and most patriotic artwork to display at our Moreno Valley Veterans Memorial. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your art to the Moreno Valley community!


Submissions will be displayed during our Veterans Day Ceremony on Saturday, November 11. Judging will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and winners can receive up to $1,000!


Interested? Entry fee is $25 per piece, limit one entry per person. Participants must be a Moreno Valley resident or a Veteran in Riverside County.

Get Rid of Your Household Hazardous Waste

For Free Tomorrow

Do you have any hazardous or electronic waste piling up in your cabinets or garage? We’ll take it off your hands for free! 


Stop by our Household Hazardous and Electronic Waste event tomorrow, October 28, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the City Corporate Yard, located at 15670 Perris Boulevard.


Moreno Valley residents can bring up to 15 gallons or 125 pounds per vehicle per trip. Acceptable items include paint products, healthcare products, e-waste, automotive products, and more. No explosives, radioactive waste, leaking containers, commercial waste, or non-profit organization waste are permitted.

Pet of the Week: Chip

Our Pet of the Week is Chip, a three-year-old Blue Bengal mix. Chip gets his name from the unique patterns in his fur. He's a fun feline who loves a good scratch on the back of his neck. Chip's sweet nature and mild temperament would be a purr-fect fit for any Moreno Valley family!
