Parent News
January 2024
Greetings!

January has been a vibrant time at CCPC! Everyone is getting back into the groove after winter break, and I am thrilled to see all the loving families return to school each day! It's fantastic to see the ongoing commitment to engaging and reengaging the community at CCPC. The various activities and events, from the up-cycled Christmas trees to the Reptile Guy visit and upcoming projects like supporting the Playtime Project, demonstrate a dynamic approach to keeping everyone involved.

Parent-teacher conferences are very important touchpoints for collaboration, and it's wonderful that our CCPC teachers are proactive in their efforts to foster communication and partnership with parents! Our goal is always to support each child's progress and address challenges together to make the CCPC experience the best it can be for all our CCPC students.

As Valentine's Day approaches, we feel the love each day within the warm CCPC atmosphere. Here's to a continued year of lively engagement, learning, and building a strong sense of community!

CCPC Supports The Playtime Project
The Playtime Project supports children experiencing family homelessness by providing and expanding access to transformative play experiences.

On February 9th, our Woodland and Creekside classes will assemble family "Love Bags” to be distributed at Valentine's Day parties at various Playtime Project locations in DC and PG county.

These bags will provide Valentine's Day goodies and activities that are designed specifically for families to foster playtime skills like problem solving, social emotional learning, and maybe most critically, optimism.

Within just a few days of our request for supplies, our powerful CCPC parent community has purchased every item on the Amazon wishlist. Thank you for opening your hearts to this project!

We are so happy to send some CCPC love out to kids and families in our community.
