Special Second Collection for Ukraine – March 19-20
Ukraine is in solemn need of our prayers and support as they face such devastating loss and tragedy within their country. Pope Francis tells us, “In God, no act of love, no matter how small, and no ‘generous effort’ will ever be lost.” Pope Francis has encouraged help for the people of Ukraine.”
In solidarity with our suffering brothers and sisters, Archbishop Gomez has asked parishes to conduct a special collection.
All checks should be made payable to The Society for the Propagation of the Faith- memo: Ukraine Disaster. Donations may be mailed to Society for the Propagation of the Faith, 3424 Wilshire Blvd- 3rd Floor, Los Angeles CA 90010. Click here to make an online donation (Specify Ukraine Disaster in the memo box.). 100% of the collection will go towards those affected by this horrible situation. Thank you for your generosity.

Important Zoom Event on Sextortion: The Hidden Pandemic
The Human Trafficking Faith Coalition is inviting you to attend a Zoom event on Saturday, March 19, at 8:00 am about sextortion of minors, the fastest growing crime in the world today. Sextortion is a form of sexual assault; pedophiles convince minors, some as young as 7 years old, to make child porn of themselves and send it to the predator. This crime impacts 9,000 children a day in the U.S.! The speaker at the online event is Opal Singleton, a top cyber exploitation expert in the U.S.
Register at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-sextortion-of-minorsthe-hidden-pandemic-every-parent-should-know-about-tickets-267494341777. The event recording will be sent to anyone who registers, even if you are not available to attend.
It is important as a church community that we understand the methods of these criminals and what we can do about it, so that we can raise awareness and protect children. May God bless you in your efforts to protect the vulnerable!
