March 23: Rockwell House Episcopal Campus Ministry in St. Louis gathered for a special feast with Bishop Deon Johnson. The Bishop announced that the Rev. Hopie Welles Jernagan, who has been serving as interim chaplain, has been called as the permanent chaplain for this campus ministry. Read more about this new calling in the Diocese.

Requiem or Renaissance is an 18-month discernment and skills-building program for all congregations currently receiving diocesan financial aid.


The group of 18 congregations is divided into two cohorts. Our first group begins meeting this weekend.

Diocesan News

The Check is in the Mail


Every congregation in The Diocese of Missouri will soon be receiving a check for $1,000!


The money comes from an unexpected budget surplus in 2021.


Bishop Deon Johnson signed the checks this morning. The $1,000 checks will be mailed this afternoon (March 30).


The funds are intended to be used for community outreach projects. Parishes are required to report how they spent their money at the 2022 Convention.

Apply Now for CAEF Grant


Congregations needing financial assistance for capital improvement projects and/or repairs can now apply for a diocesan grant of up to $10,000 through the Church Assistance Endowment Fund.


Application deadline is April 13.

Diocesan Cycle of Prayer

2nd quarter prayers now available


The Diocese offers prayers for clergy and ministries within our diocese and our companion Diocese of Puerto Rico for parishes to include in their weekly worship.


The prayer cycle for the second quarter of this year (April - June) is now available on the Diocesan website.

Gratitude for Parochial Reports

  • 2 parishes missing


We celebrate all the parishes who have completed or are in the process of completing their annual parochial reports.


Every parish is required to complete this report, which was due March 1.
