Province Announces Return To Mask Mandate
Dear golf industry stakeholders,

Today, the Province of New Brunswick has announced that due to rising case numbers in the Province and Atlantic Regions, masks will once again be required to be worn indoors.
Announcement Highlights
Mandatory Masks

As of 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, September 21 masks will be mandatory in all indoor public spaces, including:

  • public spaces where the public and employees interact, such as retail businesses, malls, service centres, places of worship, and restaurants and bars except while eating
  • organized indoor gatherings in public spaces, such as weddings and funerals
Proof of Vaccination

As of Tuesday, September 22nd at 11:59 p.m., individuals will be required to show proof of vaccination when accessing certain events, services, and businesses, and anyone entering New Brunswick must pre-register their travel.
What does this mean to golf courses?
  • Anyone over 12 must show proof of vaccination and government I.D. to access indoor food and beverage facilities.
  • Proof of vaccination is not mandatory to access pro shops and retail locations unless you voluntarily implement that restriction.
  • Employees and contracted workers are not required to provide proof of double vaccination unless it is a requirement/condition of the employer
All current public health restrictions remain in place at this time.
Your Association continues to monitor Government announcements, seek clarification, and provide updates. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions.
