By God's grace, before the pandemic, Caring Partners equipped our Thai National Pastor Jay Orata and his church in Chiang Rai, Thailand with the tools to establish their own eyeglass clinics, to reach people for Jesus Christ in an unreached land.
Praise God, Covid is on the decline in Thailand, and this is allowing Pastor Jay and his church to ramp up their efforts to reach people with the Gospel through the church's eyeglass clinics.
Last month, the church served in one of the Hill Tribe villages in northern Thailand. Many of the Hill Tribe people groups lack even access to basic healthcare as many do not have Thai citizenship. Hundreds of villagers were able to come to the church's clinic to receive eyeglasses, and after hearing a clear presentation of the Gospel message in their own language, 65 men, women, and children made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ - to God be the glory, great things He has done!
Here's is a wonderful testimony of one of those new believers - the words of Chaphoe, a 67 year old farmer:
"I just received Jesus Christ today. And I am happy for I have found a new faith. All my life I have been deceived by worshipping ghosts and evil. But now I have already accepted Jesus, and received new eyeglasses - my heart is happy!"
