Success Story

Meet Dulce Olivas

After graduating from Bakersfield College, Dulce was having a hard time finding a job that matched her education (she majored in American Sign Language); a friend referred her to America’s Job Center, where she enrolled in the KernEMPLOY∙ABILITY Program. This program which is made possible through the Disability Employment Accelerator grant, provides training and work opportunities for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. Upon completing the program she received a referral to intern at Hall Ambulance, where was later hired as a General Scan Coordinator.
