'Common Ground’, the follow-up documentary of ‘Kiss the Ground’ (Netflix) and winner of the Tribeca Film Festival, will be showcased Tuesday, November 14 evening at MFGA's Sixth Annual Regenerative Agriculture Conference, November 13-15, 2023, in Brandon, MB.
“This is a really big thing for our organization and our conference,” said Lawrence Knockaert, MFGA chair. “We are proud of our conference line-up of speakers, we feel this year’s line-up is very strong and adding the movie to the conference is another showcase of MFGA’s commitment to the farmers and producers who support our conference and also want to learn more about soil health and regenerative agriculture, regardless of how or what they farm.”
Knockaert says the movie will be included as part of the delegate attendance fees and no further fees will be charged to conference attendees or added onto for new attendees. Knockaert also pointed to the SaskSoil organization’s premiere of the movie on November 8 in Saskatoon as a valuable showcase and one-two combo of the interest in regenerative agriculture on Canada’s prairies.
According to the movie’s website,'Common Ground' explores how regenerative agriculture can help heal the soil, our health and the planet and provides hope for future generations with concrete ways to fix a broken planetary system. The film features Laura Dern, Jason Momoa, Woody Harrelson, Ian Somerhalder, Donald Glover, Rosario Dawson, Mark Hyman, Gabe Brown, and many others.
