ChIMES "Fall Fun on the Farm" Session Now Enrolling!
|
|
It’s time for some “Fall Fun on the Farm!” Join our fall session as we sing, play, and “moooove” to the music and explore farm animals, tractors and wagons, and the fall harvest.
This 8-week session (for children ages 0-5 and their parents/caregivers) starts next week and there are still a few openings for outdoor classes in Liberty Station (Mondays) and Balboa Park (Fridays).
All enrolled families will also receive access to the online ChIMES Video Library, curated Spotify playlists, songbooks, and supplemental educational materials, which are great ways to continue the music at home in between classes!

Young Artists in Harmony (YAH) is a unique music composition program offered by the innovative chamber music organization Art of Elan, in partnership with A Reason To Survive (ARTS) in National City, where advanced music students have the opportunity to:
- Explore musical composition with professional musicians (instruments for this cohort include a string quartet: violins, viola and cello)
- Create and be part of a public performance at ARTS which will also be professionally recorded
- Meet and collaborate with other like-minded music students
- Build a musical composition portfolio for college
Participants in YAH receive mentoring from professional Art of Elan musicians, and meet weekly in person on Saturdays from 12:30-2:30pm, with additional weekly 20-30 minute individual online Zoom sessions for each participant to be held at mutually convenient times. Saturday afternoon sessions will involve professional musicians from Art of Elan to help coach and give feedback on student works.
The program will run September 11 - November 13, with a culminating public concert at ARTS on November 16.
Individual orientation sessions will be held online starting September 7.
Applications are now open for Sweetwater Union High School District and Southwestern College music students: Here
