Message from the Principal
Dear DHS staff, students, and families,

We're one week away from Spring Break! Before we head off to break, since we are mid-way through the semester, I'd like to encourage families to check Schoology to monitor student progress. While Schoology grades are always accessible to students and families, this may be a good time to discuss goals for the remainder of the semester. Let's make this next week a good one!

Sincerely,
Principal Kathryn Anderson

DECA Competes at State, Advance to Nationals
Deerfield DECA competed in State this past weekend against students from 55 different schools.  DECA’s industry-validated competitive events are aligned with the National Curriculum Standards in the career clusters of marketing, business management and administration, finance, and hospitality and tourism. DECA’s flagship evaluation process involves students in both a written component such as an exam or report and an interactive component with an industry professional serving as a judge. DECA’s competitive events directly contribute to every student being college and career ready when they graduate from high school.

Students who placed in the top four of their events advance to Nationals which will be held in Atlanta, GA this April.

The following DHS students placing in the top four of their events were:

  • Allison Blonz & Talia Bromberg - First Place: Travel and Tourism Team Decision Making
