LSC welcomes Yellow Bike Coffee Cafe to their new location in the main concourse!
Yellow Bike Coffee Cafe officially opened its new permanent location on LSC's main campus on Monday. The cafe offers a variety of beverages and food options made to order for students, employees and the community. Hours are currently Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. They're gradually introducing new menu items, so please stop by and check them out. Check out the news coverage from Fox 21.
LSC Foundation scholarship applications open February 15
The Lake Superior College Foundation will once again award over $100,000 in scholarships this spring, for students attending LSC in Fall Semester 2021. The entire application is online and only requires applicants to set up an account in the AwardSpring system. Foundation scholarships are available to both current and incoming students in good standing, and will be awarded to students enrolled at LSC in Fall Semester 2021. A link to the application will be available starting February 15 and will remain open until March 15. More than 30 sessions were offered via Zoom, and one session met even outdoors. Steve Dalager sent us this photo from the snowshoeing session he led - a winter snowshoe hike along Miller Creek. Thanks to everyone who organized, presented at, helped promote or attended the event and made it a success!

LSC's Healthcare Open House will be featured on WDIO's Good Morning Northland on Thursday morning. Over 80 tour guests have registered for the event and/or for individual tours. Great work by our marketing and admissions team, and special thanks to Anna Sackette-Urness and faculty for helping with the details. These socially-distanced and pre-scheduled tours will be taking place tomorrow, with several individual tours scheduled as well.

Thank you for all you're doing to help stop the spread of COVID-19. It's working! We know we're not out of the woods yet, but we're moving in the right direction and everything that you're doing is working so please continue to mask up, wash your hands, keep your distance, get tested, stay home when you're sick, and continue to do everything possible to keep yourself and others safe.
You can always stay up to date on the latest COVID-19 related info at lsc.edu/coronavirus. The Minnesota State dashboard is updated weekly and serves as a tool to inform campus communities about changes in COVID-19 cases and community spread.

  • Do you know parents/guardians of MN high school or home school students? Encourage them to learn about PSEO at Lake Superior College! PSEO informational sessions will be offered via Zoom on February 18 and 23. Find the schedule and Zoom link at lsc.edu/AboutPSEO.

  • LSC's Healthcare Open House is scheduled for Thursday, February 11, 2:00 - 6:00 p.m., on LSC's main campus. Guests can learn about healthcare programs offered at LSC, tour the main campus, and visit classrooms and labs with state-of-the-art equipment. Registration is required and the event has been modified to ensure the safety of guests. Our admissions and marketing team has been busy promoting the opportunity and time slots are already filling up. If you know anyone who may be interested, please encourage them to register asap.   • Lake Superior College will offer a Surgical Technology informational Zoom session on Thursday, February 18, 4:00-5:00 p.m., for students interested in applying to LSC's Surgical Technology program. Participants will meet the program director and instructors and find out more about the career, program, how to apply and more. Applications for the surgical technology program are currently being accepted.
