Rev. Warlito's report on the Covid-19 Crisis in Iloilo, PH.

Thank you for supporting Carey International Pastoral Training (CIPT) as we seek to train spiritual leaders for the global church.

We have a lot of questions being asked about how our fields are doing during this turbulent time. This month are excited to bring you a special report from Rev. Warlito Monsalud on how his church and CIPT students are coping with Covid-19.

Pastor Warlito Monsalud's Report:

ILOILO'S SITUATION DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Iloilo, Philippines

“The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares those who trust in Him.” - Nahum 1:7

Praise God! COVID-19 is used by God greatly to humble us and to sanctify us for His glory. Difficulties are undeniable – it affects health, business, job, and churches. But, God is faithful to His promise – “He will never leave us nor forsake us”.

The Pastors are preserved by the Lord in our area. They remain faithful to God, to the Word of God, and to the work of God. Although churches were mandated to stop having gathering every Sunday but few remain in a small gathering readjusting their social practices for worship and fellowship. Others need to close because of the lockdown in their own area. However, in many cases, some churches expand their worship using different forms of social media, radio and websites. Others, because of no connectivity, they temporarily disconnect from their congregation.

Since food is badly needed during lockdown and some lose their jobs, church members struggle financially. Because of these, churches here are facing financial instability and church members in need turn to the church for support. The Pastors need to look for ways how to help and get help for this problem. At the same time, pastors know that their greatest needs are only met in the gospel and that they possess a solemn calling to tend to God’s flock.

· Pray for God’s preservation and provision (daily needs).

· Pray for the teaching and preaching of God’s Word.

· Pray that the Lord will provide gadgets for the children of Ministers for their online studies.
