WALKER ROAD UPDATE
The Town has begun to gather important feedback from the community regarding potential changes to Walker Road. To better understand the impacts of changes in the direction and design of Walker Road from Paradise Road to Banks Road, the Town will be conducting traffic count analysis, which involves installation of traffic count equipment across Walker Road, Banks Road, Farragut Road, Grant Road, Oakledge Road and Swampscott Road.

Data collection will begin the week of May 17, 2021.  Please note that during the one-way traffic pattern, Walker Road will be narrowed by creating on street designated parking lanes which will be marked by traffic cones and barriers.

The Swampscott Fire Department has donated old firefighting equipment to Global Gear Initiative. The gear will be sent to under-resourced Fire Departments in other countries. Swampscott Fire Department's contributions to public safety go far beyond the borders of our Town!
