RMHF Welcomes New Program & Strategy Officer
We are proud to announce Natisha Knight as the newest member of the RMHF Team! On October 2, Natisha formally began her role as the Programs & Strategy Officer, where she will oversee RMHF programming, with a focus on strategic engagement to ensure programs are meeting the needs of Richmond region residents.

Prior to her role at RMHF, Natisha's career spanned a variety of focus areas, including public education and nonprofit leadership, where she championed equity-focused solutions and strategic management. Natisha is also deeply involved in her community outside of work, volunteering with different organizations and serving on nonprofit boards.

When she’s not hard at work in the Richmond Community, Natisha enjoys spending time with her daughter, Naysa, traveling, and reading.
Join us in welcoming her to RMHF!
Community Healing / Community Violence Grants Announcement
Earlier this year, RMHF announced three new rounds of Community Healing grants to support local organizations working to address community violence and healing in the Richmond area. As part of that announcement, RMHF shared that applications would be accepted on a rolling basis until all available funds had been awarded.

The grant applications we received have been truly inspiring to see. The overwhelming response in the first and second rounds has resulted in significant awards going to support a wide variety of community-focused organizations and initiatives.

The following organizations have been awarded grants during the most recent round:

Because of this significant interest and the great work being done by nonprofits and organizations across the region, we have expended all available funds, requiring us to pause the third round of grants. Should more funding be allocated to support additional grant opportunities and we decide to re-open the application, we will communicate that information in the RMHF newsletter. Sign up here

We are proud to have provided funding to a diverse cross section of recipients that will help support their transformative work, but we also know that the need remains.

RMHF staff and board are committed to reducing violence, increasing community healing efforts, and building a more equitable, healthier region and we look forward to continuing to uplift our community partners.
