HARBOR POINT ICE FESTIVAL
Brought to You by the Waterfront Partnership
The Harbor Point Ice Festival returns on Saturday, January 22, 2022 with live ice carving. Watch award-winning sculptors use chainsaws and chisels to create spectacular icy creations before your eyes. Plus, food, drinks, and an after-hours DJ. Bring the whole family! VIRTUAL COMEDY CONCERT
Have a Laugh at Home Courtesy of The Lou Room
Tune in on Saturday, January 22, at 8:00 p.m. for a comedy concert in support of The Lou Room, which had to suspend performances in January due to the Omicron variant. Featuring Baltimore indie favorite improv troupe Banana Phone and delightful short form improv from Bonsai Time. DANISH STRING QUARTET
Part of the Shriver Hall Concert Series
As part of the Shriver Hall Concert Series, the Danish String Quartet will take the stage on Sunday, January 23, at 5:30 p.m. (There will also be a pre-concert talk with The Peabody Institute's Michael Kannen at 4:30 p.m.) The dazzling Grammy-nominated group — three Danes and a Norwegian — will perform a uniquely curated suite of dances as well as Schubert’s final quartet, a work of profound depth. For tickets and safety protocols, click below.

Tour This Historic Maryland Landmark
The annual Open House Plus series at The Cloisters continues on January 29, from 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Newly engaged couples and their families are invited to tour the castle and meet with an array of local vendors who can assist with planning needs. THE DREAM TO BRING BACK THE SPHINX NIGHTCLUB
When Charles P. Tilghman opened the Sphinx nightclub in 1946, it immediately became the place for Black Baltimore to be and be seen. Sadly, Tilghman died in 1988 and the club closed for good in 1992. Now, his grandson has a dream of reopening the institution. Read more below.
