Our students, staff, and WVCA supporters were excited to ring in the New Year! While 2020 had its challenges, WVCA remains steadfast in offering hybrid and in-person education and therapy services to all of our students and families.

While we would have loved to celebrate in-person, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, WVCA’s Blue and Gold Gala will again transform into an Online Silent Auction. NEW this year are additional ways to participate, including a take-out meal from The Woodlands and a $2,500 CASH Raffle!

Snow Closures and COVID-19 Policies
With snow, ice, and freezing temperatures...winter weather may cause WVCA to delay or close the school building. Below are our snow policies for the 2020-2021 school year:

  • Please read the full snow policy - click here
  • WVCA (Abbreviated Wyo. Valley Children's Association) closures will be listed on Channel 16, Channel 22, Channel 28, our WVCA Facebook page, and Class DOJO.
  • The following messages will be listed: No AM ClassesNo PM Classes, or CLOSED.
  • When there are no AM classes = Full day children or 11:00AM-2:30PM preschool children will report by 11:00AM. Kindergarten children will report at 10:00AM. For those children already scheduled for before care, it will start at 9:00AM. Afternoon only children report at their normal (noon) start time.
  • Where there are no PM classes (early dismissal) = Preschool and Kindergarten students need to be picked up no later than 12:00PM (noon).

"Do it For the Kids" Walk-A-Thon
WVCA will be hosting our annual "Do it For the Kids" Walk-A-Thon; however, it will be reimagined to prioritize health and safety.

All walk guests will choose prescheduled timeslots for the walk and all food and promotional items will be provided “to-go”. The outdoor event will run all day on Saturday, April 17, 2021, with a rain date of Saturday, May 1, 2021

WVCA's 97th Annual Meeting
WVCA's 97th Annual Meeting will be held virtually - via Zoom - again this year. Save the date for Wednesday, April 14, 2021. More information coming soon!

Highlights of the Winter Season
From winter-themed crafts, snow day adventures, educational lessons, and therapy sessions - our WVCA students have been hard at work both in-person and virtually. Despite the ongoing pandemic, WVCA has been steadfast in continuing our programs so that our students do not fall behind in their developmental goals.
