Spring Cleanup
Dispose of large, non-hazardous items that trash haulers don’t normally pick up during the 2022 Spring Cleanup! This free event will be held on consecutive Saturdays: April 23, April 30, May 7, and May 14. Check this map to see which Saturday haulers will be in your area. All scrap metal and untreated wood will be recycled. Additionally, ARC Thrift Store will provide pick-up of clothes and reusable items on the same day as the waste pickup.
Hydrant Flushing
Annual waterline flushing will take place starting the first week of April. Waterline flushing is necessary to help maintain the water quality in the distribution system.
When an area is being flushed, you may notice temporarily discolored water from taps and faucets; the water is safe to drink and any discoloration should subside within 24 hours. There may also be water on roadways near opened hydrants. Questions regarding water line flushing can be directed to 303.438.6334 or PublicWorks@Broomfield.org.

Lawn Replacement Program
Apply today to have your lawn professionally removed and prepared to plant a xeriscape garden. Living in Colorado's high desert climate means water is an invaluable resource. Replacing your lawn with a low-water xeriscape garden is an easy and effective way to reduce your water use, save time and money on maintenance, reduce fertilizer, fuel, and pesticide use, and add curb appeal to your property! Broomfield residents now qualify for up to $500 ($1.25 per sq. ft.) off lawn replacement services through Resource Central. Apply for the Spring Lawn Replacement Program before March 14.
Colorado COVID-19 Roadmap
Learn about the steps Colorado will be taking to maintain a level of preparedness and agility in order to keep Coloradans safe and healthy in the future COVID-19 landscape. Four main steps are outlined in “Colorado’s Next Chapter: Our Roadmap to Moving Forward,” released by Governor Polis. The City and County of Broomfield will continue to work diligently with local and state partners to implement the roadmap and protect the community.
