Annual Membership Meeting
  • We wish we could meet in person as we usually do for our annual membership meeting, but we are thrilled to be able to meet virtually and share with our members all the work we are doing to strengthen our affiliate.

Self-Care Sessions with NAMI WLA
  • We are excited to launch live online events with Britt Turpack, one of NAMI WLA's peer teachers and Ending the Silence presenters! Britt is also a certified yoga instructor who has recently completed Brown University's course on mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) and will lead us in a series, "Self-Care Sessions with NAMI WLA."

BoxUnion Events for Mental Health Month
Thanks to our friends at BoxUnion , who have committed to help fund our vital work on mental health education and support. This valued partner has pledged to donate 20% of its May revenue and 100% of the proceeds from its special edition merchandise made for May's Mental Health Month! We will also have two events:

NAMI WLA member Miriam shared her essay with us "Locked and Loaded: How Having a Son with Schizophrenia Prepared Me for a Global Pandemic." She is also the author of a memoir, "He Came With It: A Portrait of Motherhood and Madness" and publisher is offering NAMI WLA members a discount on her book; enter NAMI25 to receive a 25% discount on your purchase.

Support Groups
We have weekly, ongoing family and peer support groups online using Zoom. Find out about dates and times and how to join on our website.
Crisis Support
 There is always help if you or someone you love is experiencing a mental health emergency or crisis. Call 911 for emergencies. For a crisis, the Crisis Hotline is always open at 800-854-7771, or you can reach the Crisis Text Line by texting NAMI to 741741.
