The Housing Authority of Cook County (HACC) will be opening its site-based wait list for one-bedroom and two-bedroom project-based voucher (PBV) units at Forest Oaks Apartments, a senior housing community, located at 25 Elgin Avenue, Forest Park IL 60130. The PBV Program is a rental assistance program where the resident pays 30% of his/her income towards the rent to the owner and the HACC subsidizes the remainder.
To be eligible for Forest Oaks Apartments, applicants MUST be 55 years of age or older. Applicant’s income may not exceed the very-low income limit (50% AMI), which is $32,650 for a 1 person household, $37,300 for a 2 person household, $41,950 for a 3 person household and $46,600 for a 4 person household.
Priority preference will be given to applicants who are currently on the HACC’s Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) wait list.
Applications will be available beginning on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 10:00am. To apply, applicants need to log onto the HACC’s website at www.thehacc.org.
Scroll down and click “Open Wait List” select “Forest Oaks Apartments” on the HACC’s home page then click “Apply to Wait List”. Applications must be submitted electronically through the website; no other form of application will be accepted. The wait list will close at 4:00pm on Friday, March 11, 2022.
