May Day – A Festival of Spring!
The best-known modern May Day tradition is dancing around the maypole. Whether you do that today or not, you might be willing to carry on another tradition – the giving of May baskets — small baskets of sweets and/or flowers, usually left anonymously on the doorstep of a friend or neighbor

Worship with us this Sunday!
|
|
Sunday, May 2 at 10am on Facebook Live
Worship with us at 10am or anytime later on FB… also posted on YouTube by early afternoon. Our scriptures are Psalm 22 and John 15:1-8 when Jesus says, “I am the vine. You are the branches.” We will think about what it means to stay connected with Jesus as we live our lives modeled after him – not always an easy task.
Prepare a simple sacred communion for use at home - bread, crackers, juice, grapes.

As we realize that Earth Day is every day – not just one day last week …
I saw also that there was an ocean of darkness and death, but an infinite ocean of light and love, which flowed over the ocean of darkness.
~George Fox
We humans are not getting more evil or sinful but are simply getting more competent and efficient at whatever we want to do--including sin as willed violence. And so, we have become, as Genesis 4 warned us inaugurally, steadily or even exponentially better and better at violence. And now, at last, that capacity threatens not just the family or the tribe, but the world and the Earth.
― John Dominic Crossan
