Staff Only Parking Lot
Students are NOT allowed to park in East High School parking lots during school hours: 7:30am to 4:00pm. Students who do so will be ticketed by MPD.
Bus Passes
District-funded Madison Metro bus passes are available for students who:
  • Reside within the boundaries of the school attendance area
  • Reside more than one and one-half (1.5) miles from their attendance area school.
  • Have demonstrable financial need, including qualifying for the Free & Reduced Meal Program.

District funded bus passes were distributed to students during lunch on September 9th and 10th. Students who qualify for a district funded bus pass but have not yet received one can fill out this google form to request one and can then pick it up in their Neighborhood Office.

Tech Updates & Lost or Damaged Chromebooks/Chargers
LOST OR DAMAGED CHROMEBOOKS
Students should bring their Chromebook to school each day. Students without a working device (including lost or damaged devices) should go to the LMC to get a new device. During the month of September we will work with families and students to correct, or replace, any damaged devices at no cost to families. The fine structure, per the MMSD Family Digital Device Guidelines on page 9, will start October 1, 2021 for all schools and students.

TECH HELP
Students can also fill out this Tech Help Request Google Form for assistance and the East High LMTS (Library Media Technology Specialist) will contact them about their concern.

HOT SPOTS
As a district, we understand that being connected is vital to learning for our MMSD community. As such, the district is working to ensure that students that do not have internet connectivity are able to connect to the internet via hotspots, should the need arise.

During the initial onset of the pandemic, the district purchased over 1800 hotspots and issued them to our families. Many of these hotspots are currently checked out and in the homes of our families but are not activated. At this time, we are asking families to please complete this following document so that we are able to determine the next steps with hotspots.

Students who are not virtual learners at this time should return their hotspot to Mrs. Milne-Carroll (East Librarian) in the LMC so that we are able to provide hotspots to those families that are not able to connect to the internet.
Early Release Mondays

Please reach out to Coach McLin with any questions at lrmclin@madison.k12.wi.us.

All boys interested in playing basketball at any level - Freshmen, JV, Varsity: there will be a general informational meeting on Thursday, September 16th in the Spectator Gym at 12:10 pm during lunch.
