Spring Show at Sahuaro Ranch

Glendale residents can register for the program beginning Monday, March 8th. Registration is required for each participant and can be made by calling the Foothills Recreation and Aquatics Center at (623) 930-4600 or register online through our website at www.glendaleaz.com/parksandrecreation. The Department is also actively recruiting volunteer youth sports coaches. Coaches will become certified members of the National Alliance for Youth Sports. To become a volunteer coach, please contact, Recreation Coordinator, Manny Padia at MCPadia@GLENDALEAZ.COM or by phone at 623-930-2961 before April 17th.

Paris in the Spring

You won’t need to set foot on an airplane to experience Parisian style! Visit Historic Downtown Glendale’s Paris in the Spring event
This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the fine food, culture and shopping of Paris. Bring along your beret and enjoy activities, fashion shows, shopping and dining all with a Parisian theme!

Start at the Arizona Information Center located at Memory Lane Trinkets and Treasures (5836 W. Palmaire Ave.) to pick up the activity list and walking map.

The Glendale Family Bike Ride goes virtual for 2021!
Register online, grab your helmet, check your bike, and take your family on a 6-mile bike ride in Glendale anytime between Saturday, April 10 through Saturday, April 17. There are several bike paths and trails available in Glendale. You can find them on our website or check out the MAG Bikeways Map at https://geo.azmag.gov/maps/bikemap/
Each participant who completes the ride will receive a Glendale Family Bike Ride fanny pack!

Glendale Fire Department Honors Our Fallen Police Officers & Firefighters
Glendale Fire Department is putting placards on fire hydrants to memorialize police officers and firefighters who have died in the line of duty in Glendale. Police Officer Anthony Holly was the first one honored today, 14 years after he was killed during a traffic stop.

Mini Zen Gardens
March 01, 2021 - March 13, 2021
Breath deep and destress with a create your own mini Zen gardens. Kits are fully assembled and ready for pick up at any Glendale Public Library.
Available to teens 12-18. 
I introduced an idea designed to remind drivers of the importance of driving safely on neighborhood streets. 
They are 18" x 24" signs, red on one side and yellow on the other.
