Interfaith Prayer Service
Amidst a time of unrest and upheaval in Eastern Europe, downtown Cincinnati’s Christ Church Cathedral will be hosting an interfaith prayer vigil for peace in Ukraine. Co-sponsored by EquaSion, this event will be held at Christ Church Cathedral, 318 East Fourth Street, on Sunday, March 27 at 7:00pm.
This event allows peoples of all faiths to come together as a united interfaith community and demonstrate spiritual solidarity with not only the suffering citizens and refugees of Ukraine, but all those affected by this tragic and unprovoked war.
“An important aspect of this event is the humanitarian component,” says Dean Owen C. Thompson of Christ Church Cathedral. “We want to come together as a community to show our solidarity, call for peace and actively make a difference to the Ukrainian people with donations and prayer.”
The vigil will also feature select representatives from the local interfaith community, among them attorney and former Ukrainian citizen Nazly Mamedova, Bishop Marvin F. Thomas Sr. of the CME Church, and Deacon John Gerke of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.

At the conclusion of the Mass, the Archbishop and faithful will unite in prayer with the Holy Father in the Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Mass will be followed by the recitation of the rosary. All are invited to attend.
