Saturday morning, the Sunapee Farmers Market is THE place to find fresh produce, flowers, vino and all your culinary needs as well as crafts, music & special kids activities!  https://sunapeefarmersmarket.com/

Farmers Markets Don't Just Happen. It's National Farmers Market Week, and we want to celebrate by thanking all the folks that make this market possible. First and foremost - the Farmers! Next we can thank the market committee that works hard to organize, Project Sunapee for it's administrative backing, the dedicated market volunteers, our generous sponsors, our talented food and artist vendors, local musicians, and last but not least - the community that shows up every week to support our local businesses. It takes a village to make this market a success, and we're grateful. See you on Saturday morning in Sunapee Harbor.

Tapestry Tuesday with Jeremy D'Entremont

Everyone knows that there's "something about lighthouses" that gives them broad appeal, but their vital role in our history and culture is little appreciated. Our early nation was built on maritime economy, and lighthouses were part of the system that made that possible. Due to automation, traditional lighthouse keeping is a way of life that has faded into the past. Jeremy D'Entremont tells the history of New England's historic and picturesque lighthouses primarily focusing on the colorful and dramatic stories of lighthouse keepers and their families. 5:30 New London Inn, Space is limited, Register at info@cfanh.org

"HAPPENINGS"

“Happenings” readers occasionally share comments, content ideas, a spelling correction, inquiries about an event or “How do I volunteer with Project Sunapee”? or “thank you" for Sunapee region news.  We recently received a note from Shelia Hess, born and raised in Sunapee, the daughter of Vern & Rita Morse.  Her sons brought her from western MA home for a visit to favorite hometown haunts, the Flanders-Osborne Museum and a surprise 89th Birthday celebration cruise on the MV Mt. Sunapee and a special greeting from the Captain! Shelia wanted to thank all her Sunapee friends for her special Birthday adventure. Project Sunapee is honored by Shelia's note. Keep staying in touch with your Sunapee roots!  Here’s to sharing your 90th Birthday next summer!

UNTIL NEXT WEEK

May you enjoy these perfect August summer days with family & friends... Cheers!
