Montclair State University
Funder: Partners for Health Foundation
The team at Montclair State University has been working on a presentation for the University's Division of University Facilities to review the basics of the Complete Streets project, revisit goals, and summarize research and findings from work over the last year. The presentation includes examples of Complete Streets policies from surrounding municipalities as well as examples of policies that have been implemented at other institutions of higher education. Keen Effect Grant
DEADLINE: March 31
The trades have historically been a male-dominated career field. That, however, is changing as the number of women entering the trades is growing at a rapid pace. KEEN Utility, through the She Builds Grant Program, supports nonprofits that provide trade skills education, networking, and support for girls and women. As trusted contacts in the non-profit world, you are encouraged to nominate a group to be considered for a grant. This program is open to US-based and -operated organizations only, with 501c3 status.
 
The best part is, organizations themselves don’t have to fill out any application, but merely be entered into the super quick nomination form expiring at the end of the month! 4 grants will be disbursed, including $5,000 cash and up to $3,000 gear stipend per grant.

Garden Grant Program
DEADLINE: March 31
Kids who grow veggies, eat veggies, so school gardens can make a big difference. Through the Garden Grant program, schools and non-profit organizations turn outdoor spaces into powerful hands-on learning gardens that connect kids with food, spark their curiosity and support classroom curriculum. The program provides a $3,000 monetary grant to support a new or existing edible educational garden. MORE
Policy Campaign Grant
DEADLINE: April 5
Voices for Healthy Kids has issued a call for proposals for the Policy Campaign Grant Opportunity, designed to support advocacy campaigns supporting Voices for Healthy Kids policy priorities with a focus on health equity. Grantees should seek to support and drive local, state, and tribal policy change efforts that will dramatically improve the health of children with a focus on those experiencing the greatest health disparities including Black, Brown, and Native children or from families from low income. Community Change Challenge Grant

The AARP Community Challenge provides small grants to fund quick-action projects that can help communities become more livable for people of all ages. Applications are accepted for projects to improve public spaces, housing, transportation, civic engagement, coronavirus recovery, diversity and inclusion, and more. CDC's Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity released a new interactive database with new data on 37 indicators related to healthy eating, active living, and obesity prevention.
