Celebrate keynote speaker visits Veterans' Village
Dan Nevins is a name you've most likely heard by now. As the keynote speaker for tonight's Celebrate Fox Cities Annual Dinner, Dan is a veteran and past recipient of the Wounded Warrior Project’s George C. Lang Award for Courage. During his presentation he will be sharing not only his personal story of losing two legs in combat in 2004, but words of encouragement and hope he has gleaned since, through his veterans’ advocacy work and his study of mindfulness, meditation, and yoga.
Helping other veterans has become Dan's passion, and while in the area yesterday he took time to visit the Wisconsin Veteran's Village Association, a local project designed to provide affordable housing, support, and community to veterans throughout their lifespan. It was an inspiring afternoon for Dan, the veterans and everyone on hand. View more photos from his visit here.
