Fall Greetings from Pam Farmer

Dear St. Andrew’s Alumni,
It is wonderful to have the students back after a restful summer. The leaves are turning and the campus will soon be in its peak fall beauty. This year we welcome six children and one nephew of alumni to our St. Andrew's family — a true testament to what our school means to our alums. I have even had parents tell me that they wish they could come back to St. Andrew's as students themselves!
This fall is full of excitement. Below are some upcoming events.
Fall Family Weekend is October 19-21
During this year’s Fall Family Weekend, we will be having the Edward Barrett ‘31 Memorial Pie Race at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 19. On Saturday, October 21, we will host the Eric Jacober ‘07 Memorial Cross Country Race followed by side-by-each boys and girls varsity soccer games at 3:30 p.m. It is a great time to come back to campus and support our students.
The Bad Boys of the 60s Reunion on October 22
We are so excited to welcome the Bad Boys of the 60s to campus on October 22. They get together every year and have decided to hold it at St. Andrew’s this year. I can’t wait for the stories. If you are one of the Bad Boys of the 60s, please let Charlie Knowles ‘67 know at ctkcolinf@ri95.com.
Boston Alumni Get-together on November 2
We are planning a Boston Alumni Get-together on Thursday, November 2, at 6:00 p.m. at Michael Culpo’s The Tack Room (145 Lincoln Rd., Lincoln, MA). I would love to see you there. Please RSVP to me at pfarmer@standrews-ri.org.
It’s wonderful when our alums come back to visit campus. I am generally in the office on Mondays and Wednesdays, so please come by. If you would like to come on a different day, please let me know in advance so that I can try to be there.
Please read on for alumni highlights from the summer, our alum spotlight, and other alumni news. Have a fabulous fall and here’s to your good health and happiness as we near the holiday season!
Warmly,
Pam Farmer

Jayden DeGrace '19 King Medal Winner
Seattle Seahawks Graphic Design
| |
Since I graduated from St. Andrew's, I attended four years at the University of Miami. I started as a Business major, however, as each semester progressed I explored different possible passions and interests (Public Health, Biology, Motion Pictures, Advertising, etc). After trying six majors, I settled on my passion for the arts and decided to commit to a B.A. in Studio Art at the College of Arts and Sciences. I felt it was the best way to be able to not only commit to studying my passion in graphic design but also I could explore avenues in photography, cinematography, motion graphics, and illustration.
Eventually, it led to my success in this industry and being accepted as a Graphic Design Intern fresh from graduating college for the NFL Seattle Seahawks for their 2023-24 season. I am beyond blessed. I had the experiences I had to lead me to where I am now, and happy to say St. Andrew's was one of those experiences that put me on this path. As I take my skills from the East Coast to the West, I'm looking ahead with much gratitude and reassurance.

One of my responsibilities working for the Seattle Seahawks is sitting in the Media Suite at home games creating graphic assets behind the scenes. This ranges from updating score graphics from quarter-to-quarter to creating creative-driven Win graphics. While at the home game for Week 3 of the National Football League (NFL) season, I was excited to see the graphic I designed that celebrated the Seahawks' epic win showcased on the stadium screens. Seeing it live and on the big screen was a great feeling, especially coming off a win!
Congratulations to Jayden on his success and best of luck on his continued endeavors!
