Backpack Drive for Narika Clients and Families in-Need

It's Back to School season!

Two weeks ago, Narika was able to provide 24 children of our survivors of domestic violence with backpacks, school supplies and PPE items for the upcoming school year.

We are so grateful to Khalsa Aid USA (Bay Area) and Tri City Volunteers for our ongoing collaboration in purchasing and packing these backpacks, and supporting our survivors and their children’s efforts to continue their education despite the deep emotional and financial setbacks exacerbated by abuse.

One of our moms shared how her daughters begged to miss school in order to pick their own backpacks at the Narika office. Another parent of four shared how she had been unable to purchase the various school-related items required by her school, and that these backpacks would keep them going for this school year.
