YEARBOOKS
Panthers! Order your yearbook today at yearbookordercenter.com using CODE: 7435. Not sure if you already purchased your yearbook? Check the list on Pen's website to see if you already ordered. If you purchased a "staff" book, your name will not be on this list.

MUSIC AUDITIONS
Want to be part of Pen's award winning music department next year? Mark your calendar now as auditions are being held next month. Returning Peninsula students will audition during regular class time and students not currently enrolled in the instrumental music programs at Miraleste, PV Intermediate, or Pen need to contact the Peninsula music department to set up an audition. Complete audition details are available at pvphsmusicboosters.com or contact Rosie Chia, music department assistant, at [email protected].

SENIOR PORTRAITS
If you have not had your senior picture taken, upload a portrait to eShare with the school code 7435 so it may be placed in the yearbook. Deadline to submit is Friday, Feb. 12. Follow the detailed instructions for taking a portrait here.

CSF CLASS OF 2022
As a junior member of California Scholarship Federation, you will be automatically added to the CSF Team for Board applicants if you have been a member of CSF every semester so far. If you choose to apply for an elected office, please follow the guidelines on the notice. If you do not want to apply for an elected office, do not respond. Deadline to turn in applications is Friday, Feb. 5. Email Mrs. Okamoto at [email protected] with questions and information.

READY FOR ROMANCE BOOK CLUB
Brighten this dreary winter with a light-hearted rom-com. Stay Sweet by Siobhan Vivian is the first book in the Ready for Romance Book Club. Despite the title, it's not a cotton candy confection. Contact the librarian, Mrs. Gutierrez, at (310) 377-4888 ext. 42602 or [email protected] to join and arrange for the pickup of your copy. Members will meet virtually around Valentine's Day to share their observations and ice cream.

PTSA BOOK CLUB
Meet with Panther families to discuss The Color of Law at the first PTSA Book Club meeting on Saturday, Feb. 13 from 9:00 to 10:30 am on Zoom. The Color of Law details how federal housing policies in the 1940s and 1950s mandated segregation and hindered Black families from buying their own homes. Shereen Walter, Director of Legislation for the state PTA and Carol Kocivar, past president of the California PTA and current legislative advocate are the guest facilitators.

COLLEGE CAREER CENTER
FREE PRACTICE S.A.T & A.C.T. TESTS
Mark your calendars juniors and sophomores-there is a free, full length practice SAT test on February 20 and a free, full length practice ACT test on March 6. Both tests are proctored and virtual and begin promptly at 9:00 am. Students may sign up for one or both tests. Register here or go to the CCC pages on Pen's website. A confirmation email will be sent the week of the test.

CLUBS
WEAR ORANGE TODAY
By the first week of February, the number of gun deaths in the United States surpasses the number of gun deaths experienced by our peer countries in one year. In honor of National Gun Violence Survivors' Week, Students Demand Action is asking you to wear orange today in solidarity and tag @PVPHS and @pvphsstudentsdemandaction on Instagram. If you'd like to join this club, email [email protected] or click on the Club Rush website here, then go to special interest clubs and click on Students Demand Action.
