Kids Christmas Program: this Sunday at 4:00 PM
The Kids Ministry invites you to join us this Sunday, December 10 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in the Worship Center for "The Christmas County Spelling Bee!"

Set within the narrative of a lively spelling bee, this warm musical consists of nine delightful new songs, as well as the Michael W. Smith classic, "Emmanuel." As the musical unfolds, the contestants learn more about the character and nature of our Savior.
Our elementary-aged kids have been practicing hard since September to present this wonderful Christmas musical and we would love for you to bring your family and friends to see it!

Registration is not required. A reception in the Atrium will follow the musical.
Join us for Christmas Eve
Christmas is a time to celebrate. It is a time to praise joyously as we give thanks to the Lord for the most amazing gift He has ever given to us -- the light of the world, His one and only son, Jesus.

This Christmas, we invite you to join us as we celebrate and worship the birth of our Savior. We will gather together at 1:30, 3:00, 4:30, and 6:00 PM on Christmas Eve for a traditional candlelight service with communion. The Nativity Petting Zoo will also be available in the Youth Center from 2:30 to 6:00 PM.

For more information, please visit our website.
Bibles Needed
We are collecting 15,000 Bibles for the Bibles for Africa Project with the South African Christian Mission (SACM) and Hearts of Hope Christian Ministries (HOH).

If you would like to donate a new or gently used Bible, a black bin will be available in the Atrium for English-language Bibles. (NIV, ESV, HCSB, and NLT translations preferred.) These Bibles will be shipped to Cape Town for free distribution throughout South Africa, Kenya, and southern Africa.

Please donate a new or gently used English or French-language Bible this Sunday!
As you're watching the video you might recognize Heather Burton. She is a former Worthington Christian Church member who is continuing to do the Lord's work in South Africa!
Volunteers Needed: Greeters
Our goal at WCC is to ensure that everyone who enters our church feels welcome. This is why a strong team of Greeters is so important!

If you like to meet new people and don't mind shaking a few hands, you might be a great candidate for our team of Greeters! We are currently in need of a few more Sunday Morning Greeters and Christmas Eve Greeters.

Interested? Check out the information below to learn more!
SUNDAY MORNING GREETERS:
Volunteers are needed on a one-Sunday per-month rotation. Currently, we are in need of volunteers to serve at the 9:45 or 11:11 AM service times.

CHRISTMAS EVE GREETERS:
Volunteers are needed on Christmas Eve to help make our members and guests feel welcome as we gather to celebrate the birth of our Lord. We need greeters at each of our service times (1:30, 3:00, 4:30, and 6:00 PM). If you are available for one (or all) service times, we'd love to hear from you!

WHAT'S EXPECTED:
Volunteers are asked to be at their assigned doors or entry points several minutes before the service and be ready to start greeting. They will also be asked to come back out at the end of the service to say goodbye as folks leave. Christmas Eve greeters may have the additional task of helping first-time guests to find seats, etc.

More information and training will be provided. Please contact Alison Morrow with questions or interest.
Year-End Giving
Planning to make a year-end gift?
If you think you might wait until the last minute to make a tithe or offering, please note the following:

  • Mailed donations must be postmarked no later than Saturday, Dec. 30.

  • Hand-delivered donations must be in the office no later than 4:00 PM on Friday, Dec. 29.

Questions? Please contact the church office (614-885-8389 or info@worthingtoncc.org).
Operation Christmas Child
Although the deadline for turning in filled shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child has passed, you can still pack a shoebox online!

The Operation Christmas Child website makes it quick, easy, and secure, so we invite you to explore this option. The cost is $25/per box, and you can absolutely customize it! (Or allow the folks at Samaritan’s Purse to build it for you.)

Please consider building a shoebox online!
Worthington Resource Pantry
We want to follow Jesus together and part of that is being a good neighbor. How can we accomplish that? By doing what we can to meet the needs of a neighbor in crisis. Therefore, we will continue to support the Worthington Resource Pantry for the foreseeable future.

CURRENT NEEDS:
  • Canned Soup
  • Cereal
  • Canned Chicken or Tuna
  • Baby Food and Baby Formula
  • Diapers (all sizes, but larger sizes are needed the most)
  • Pet food
You may drop off your donations at any time. A blue donation bin will be available at each of the entrances to the church and we regularly empty the bins to make room for additional items. If you have any questions, please contact Patti Remaklus.
REACH: Phase 1
The Kids and Youth areas are starting to take shape!

A lot of the HVAC work has been completed, drywall has been put up, and painting has begun... we are now in the final few weeks of Phase 1 of the REACH Initiative!

We aim to post progress photos every Wednesday on our social media pages (Facebook, X/Twitter, and Instagram), so please be sure to like and subscribe. We will also make updates to our REACH Initiative website as needed.
Progress with the renovation has been steady, and we're on track to complete the Kids and Youth areas by mid-December, except for the highly anticipated slide in the Kids Area. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the delivery and installation of the slide will not be complete until mid-January. Once the slide is in place, we plan to celebrate the completion of Phase 1 with an Open House. More details to come!

As always, we appreciate your patience, prayers, and support during this phase of the REACH Initiative!

We regularly post on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and would love for you to join our online community there!
