CHAMBER SNAPSHOT - December 13, 2023

Last week we held our Leadership Fairfield non-profit day and what a great experience it was! A huge thanks to our host, Shared Harvest Food Bank, and for all of the organizations that participated. We ended the day with an intense facilitation with Tom Bishop from Cause!mpact. I believe we all learned a great deal that day!


We are ready to roll out our 2024 NeighborGoods cards. See below for more information. For a very small fee, we will be distributing your deals out to the Fairfield Community.

Keep Your Holiday Lights and Christmas Trees Out of the Landfill with MetroParks November 27, 2023 – MetroParks is here to help you keep your holiday lights and live Christmas Trees out of the landfill this year!


Thanks to a partnership with Cohen Recycling, from December 1, 2023- February 1, 2024 you can drop off your broken or unwanted holiday lights to be recycled for FREE at the following locations:


  • Voice of America MetroPark 7850 VOA Park Dr. West Chester, OH 45069
  • Rentschler Forest MetroPark- Reigart Road Area 5701 Reigart Rd. Hamilton, OH 45011 Forest Run MetroPark- Timberman Ridge Area 1976 Timberman Rd. Hamilton, OH 45013
  • Elk Creek MetroPark- Meadow Ridge Area 5101 Circle Pkwy Middletown, OH 45042


All holiday lights should be loose and not in bags or boxes.


From December 26, 2023- January 31, 2024 MetroParks will also accept live Christmas Trees for recycling at the same locations at no cost. All trees should be free from decorations, lights, tinsel, etc. Donated trees will be chipped and used for MetroParks’ trail maintenance and conservation projects.
