Sermon Text: John 15:1-8 NRSV
Sermon Title: "The True Vine"
1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinegrower.
2 He removes every branch in me that bears no fruit. Every branch that bears fruit
He prunes to make it bear more fruit.
3 You have already been cleansed by the word that I have spoken to you.
4 Abide in me as I abide in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself
unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me.
5 I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me
and I in them bear much fruit because apart from me you can do nothing.
6 Whoever does not abide in me is thrown away like a branch and withers;
such branches are gathered, thrown into the fire and burned.
7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you,
ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
8 My Father is glorified by this that you bear much fruit, and
become my disciples.
Praise & Worship

Romans 15:6 That together you may with one voice glorify the God & Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We encourage you to join us and ask everyone to offer their voices/hands to God throughout His church whether that is singing, humming or standing.
Let's express our gratitude toward God for all He has done and continues to do.

Prelude: "Oh, How I Love Jesus" arr. by Regina Pozzi

Opening Hymn: "O, How I Love Jesus" #99
1 There is a name I love to hear,
I love to speak its worth;
it sounds like music in my ear,
the sweetest name on earth.

Refrain:
O, how I love Jesus,
O, how I love Jesus,
O, how I love Jesus,
because He first loved me!

2 It tells me of a Savior's love,
who died to set me free;
it tells me of His precious blood,
the sinner's perfect plea. (Refrain)

3 It tells of one whose loving heart
can feel my deepest woe,
who in my sorrow bears a part
that none can bear below. (Refrain)

Special Music: "Tis, So Sweet to Trust in Jesus"

Closing Hymn: "You Are the Vine"
You Are The Vine
We Are The Branches
Keep Us Abiding In You

And We’ll Go, In Your Love
And We’ll Go, In Your Name

That The World, Will Surely Know,
That You Have The Power To Heal And To Save

You Are The Vine
We Are The Branches
Keep Us Abiding In You

Postlude: "Fanfare" by Lemmons/Paxton
Please find the prayer list below,
and sincerely pray for ALL of God's creation.

PRAYER HAS DIVINE POWER TO DEMOLISH STRONGHOLDS.

"4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world.
On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up
against the knowledge of God,
and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."
2 Corinthians 10: 4-5
