We are writing to let you know this year’s high school advisors assignments and provide you with some additional high school information.

Private/Parochial Schools
High School Advisors and Ms. Asciolla will also be able to assist you with private/parochial school recommendations and records requests. Information and instructions on this will be provided shortly in our upcoming blasts. For schools that require teacher recommendations, please email the teachers directly and provide a two week notice due to multiple requests.
Virtual High School Workshop
The Guidance Department has scheduled a VIRTUAL high school information session for parents/guardians on Wednesday, September 27 at 6pm to give an overview of the application process which will open during the first week of October. This workshop will feature High School 411’s Elissa Stein. Please register in advance for this meeting at the link here
Once you register, you will receive the link for the meeting.
The link to the meeting will be opened at 5:45 PM on the night of the presentation. We encourage all attendees to enter the meeting room prior to the start time as we will begin the presentation promptly at 6:00 PM.
To ensure that we maximize our time with Elissa, we are asking that families submit their questions in advance utilizing this form.
We have extended the question deadline: Questions should be submitted by Monday September 25th. We will then identify the most commonly asked questions that will provide the most useful information to be answered in the last part of this meeting.
Myschools Events Calendar
High schools have started to schedule open houses, tours, and/or virtual tours. They have begun listing them on the Myschools events calendar listed here. Please continue to monitor the Myschools Events Calendar as high schools add tour/open house information.
Additionally, the 104 counselors will add tours to this document as they receive information regarding upcoming events. It is important to monitor the MySchools calendar as well as the high schools’ websites that you are interested in for the most up to date information regarding tours and open houses.
