Greetings from the Lakota Waldorf School!
We are delighted to announce that we have raised $15,758 towards our Spring Campaign goal of $20,000! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your contribution.
Over the past year, much of our fundraising efforts have been focused on our campus expansion construction projects. Now that we have reached the end of the 2021/2022 school year, we must turn our attention to raising the funds necessary to support our students in the coming year.
As you know, none of our students pay tuition. However, the Lakota Waldorf School also supports its students in other ways, including by providing free meals and school supplies. This is made possible through the generous support of our donors.
All other Waldorf schools in the country rely on their students' tuition. Here at the Lakota Waldorf School, we believe that all students should have access to quality education, particularly Waldorf education, regardless of their family's ability to afford school fees. A Waldorf school here on the Pine Ridge Reservation, located in one of the poorest counties in the United States, would simply not be possible if we charged tuition.
Because of your donation, the Lakota Waldorf School can continue supporting our students and our community. Please know that your gift is already hard at work in the classroom and in the lives of our students. Here are just a few examples of the work made possible by your donation:
